Potato burger with vegetables

Looking for a good alternative to meat burgers? Discover the recipe of our potato burgers. They are very simple to prepare at home and are very tasty!

Ingredients for 6 large hamburgers

500 grams of potatoes
1 carrot
70 grams of broccoli
60 grams of peas
1 egg white
2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon grated cheese
nutmeg (optional)



First peel the potatoes and boil them in plenty of water. At the same time, carefully wash and cut into small pieces all the vegetables then steam for about 13 minutes. As an alternative to the steamer, you can also boil them for about 10 minutes in boiling water with the addition of salt.

Let the potatoes cool. With a potato masher creates a mash of potatoes (alternatively use a fork), add salt, basil and nutmeg if you like.  To make it tastier we recommend adding a tablespoon of grated cheese.

Cut the vegetables (you can also blend the pieces too large) and add them to the dough gradually. Dough to make the whole more homogeneous.

Now, add the egg white to mix everything and continue kneading until you reach a compact and easy to work compound.

When the dough is thick form your burgers with the appropriate tool or create meatballs to be crushed with your hands. Breadcrumbs with breadcrumbs and cook in a non-stick pan or on a hot plate.

Vegetables and potato burgers can be frozen so that they can be prepared only once.  They can also be cooked in the oven and can be flavored with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to add before serving.
