Even today we want to take you far, between India and Malaysia to make you discover Turmeric, a herb related to saffron, used as a spice.
What we propose specifically is a short and simple recipe, which is an excellent alternative to the classic side dish.
250 grams potatoes
1 small onion
half a teaspoon of turmeric
extra virgin olive oil
chilli (if you like)
For the preparation of this dish you have two alternatives: either boil them and then toss the potatoes in a pan, or cut them into cubes and cook them only in a pan by adding some water.
Make a light fry using oil and peeled onion cut into small pieces. Add water a little at a time
Cook for about 20 minutes, adding more water if necessary. When you see the golden potatoes it means they are ready and only then can you add turmeric, pepper and chilli!
Bring them to the table, cold or hot, change little: they will all be satisfied!
